Mission

The purpose of the College of St. Catherine Libraries' web site is to support the mission of the Libraries and the College of St. Catherine by serving as a gateway to online resources and by providing information about library services and staff.

Charge

The Web Advisory Group serves to carry out this mission. It is composed of not more than five librarians, with one librarian acting as chair. Library departments and both campuses should be represented. The group coordinates site development, recommends site policies and standards, and serves as the editorial board for the site. It has responsibility for organizing and maintaining the top level pages, and other pages as appropriate, but is not responsible for creating all site content. When necessary, it can delegate the creation and maintenance of pages for the web site to others.

Current members of the Library Web Advisory Group are:
      Deborah Kloiber, chair
      S. Barbara Brooks, BVM
      Amy Shaw
      Kathi Rickert

Audience

The primary audience for the College of St. Catherine Libraries' web site is the CSC community. A secondary audience is information seekers outside of the community.

Scope

The Libraries' web site is intended to include information related to library resources, services, and collections. This may include, but is not limited to, links to electronic resources, both licensed and public; information about library services and policies; mechanisms for communication between library users and library staff; and instructional resources such as database or subject guides and library tutorials.

Adopted October, 1999.
