Description:
ProQuest Dissertations and Theses is the official digital dissertations archive for the Library of Congress and the database of record for graduate research. It includes 2.7 million citations to dissertations and theses from around the world from 1637 to the present, with more than one million in full text, available for download in PDF format.
The database offers full text for most of the dissertations added since 1997 and strong retrospective full text coverage for older graduate works. Each year, more than 70,000 new full text dissertations and theses from 700 leading academic institutions are added to the database. Older dissertations and theses are being digitized and added as well.
Each dissertation published since July 1980 includes a 350-word abstract written by the author. Master's theses published since 1988 include 150-word abstracts.
When a dissertation is not available in full text in the database, it is often possible for you to order a copy using a credit card. Over 2.1 million titles are available for purchase as printed copies.
