Piotrowski Retirement & Changes in St. Paul Media Services

Categories: Staff

After 42+ Years, Ann is Retiring

After 42+ years at St. Kate's, Ann Piotrowski, Media Services Manager, is retiring.

Ann is a graduate of St. Kate's and right after graduation she started working in the libraries. She's been a key figure in helping us expand our media collection and helping faculty find what they need for their courses.

Ann joked that with this retirement, this fall is the first fall in her entire life that she won't be going back to school.

We will miss Ann and we wish her well.

Changes to St. Paul Media Services

With Ann's departure, Rodney Fillmore will move into the position of Head of Media Services, but a few other changes will happen.

In St. Paul, Media Services will still manage the technology in classrooms and spaces around campus and will still be the go-to place to call when you need assistance with this equipment. The change is that video purchasing and media reserves will no longer be handled by Media Services.

Video purchasing will now be handled by the Head of Collection Services, Heather Tompkins (, and media reserves will be handled by Access Services Manager, Jenny Peters (

Minneapolis Media Services will remain the same; these changes are just for St. Paul.
