Reference Collection

The Reference collections of the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses are purchased to support the curricula particular to each campus.

Librarians know the Reference collections well and are happy to help select the best possible sources for your research need. All reference sources are catalogued in CLICnet/WorldCat. Please consult a Librarian for further assistance.

Print Reference Collection

Collections on both campuses contain general as well as subject-specific resources. In general, the St. Paul Library has extensive resources in the areas of theology, religions and Catholicism, social work, test instruments, literary studies, and library science. The Minneapolis Library supports extensive studies in health sciences, as well as general topcis.

Print resources do not circulate (they cannot leave the libraries) but pages can be photocopied on the premises. Copies cost 10 cents per page. Be sure to make note of all information that will be needed to properly cite the reference source.

Electronic Reference Sources

The Libraries provide a growing and increasingly exhaustive collection on electronic reference sources. Examples include the OED, 2nd ed. Online, the Encyclopedia Brittanica Online, medical reference books, a large number of Oxford reference titles, and many more. Links and more information are available: E-Books at St. Kate's

Login required: Electronic resources are limited to current St. Kate's students, faculty and staff. Visitors may use electronic resources from the campus.
