Use of Libraries by Sisters of St. Joseph

General Use

The Sisters of St. Joseph are welcome to use the resources of the College of St. Catherine Libraries.

Book Checkout

A Sister of St. Joseph will be issued a book Borrower card, free of charge, upon completion of an application. Apply at the Circulation Desk for the card. CSJ cards are valid 10 years from the date of issue.

The following conditions apply to book borrowing:

  • Checkout period is 90 days.
  • Privileges apply to all libraries in CLICnet and allow holds in the system.
  • Periodicals do not circulate.
  • The lost book fee is $50.00 per item.

Reference Service

Reference Librarians will provide limited assistance to Sisters with questions and research needs.  Please remember that our first priorities are the needs of St. Kate's students, staff, faculty, and Seniors auditing our classes.

Electronic Resources

Electronic resources that are not restricted by licensing agreement may be used by the Sisters on the premises; database licenses do not allow us to extend off-campus, remote access.

Use of computer workstations and printing

If you wish to use the computers, please request an account when you request your borrower card. (It will take one to two days to set up the account. You will be notified when it is ready.)

Interlibrary loan and document delivery

ILL services can be used by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Please contact the circulation desk for more information on setting up an ILLiad account.
