 |
Established in 1988 by the World Health Organization, World AIDS Day is designed to draw global awareness to the effect of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and to focus government attention on prevention efforts. It takes place on December 1 of each year.
The slogan for World AIDS Day 2005-2010 is "Keep the Promise" and this year's theme is "leadership."
