Green Card Voices Library Exhibit: Sharing Immigrant Stories

From March 1st through March 31st, as a part of the One Read for Social Justice, the library hosts Green Card Voices, a touring photo exhibit of “Immigrants Telling Their Life Stories.”

This interactive exhibit features portraits of Twin Cities immigrants, including St. Kate’s student Zaynab Abdi. Each image is paired with a biography, quotation, and QR code that visitors can scan to watch a first-person video story.

All are welcome at the kick-off event Friday, March 6th from 12pm – 1:30pm, which includes a reading by Zaynab and a Story Stitch session. Can’t make the kick off? St. Kate’s students, faculty, and staff can check out Story Stich in the library; just ask at the Circulation Desk.

More information about the One Read for Social Justice, including upcoming events, can be found here.
