Join us for a discussion with local author and former St. Kate’s librarian, Anika Fajardo who will highlight the identity issues surrounding birthplace, ethnicity, family history, and language as reflected by the speaker’s own experiences and with examples from her 2019 memoirMagical Realism for Non-Believers: A Memoir of Finding Family. It will encourage reflection and discussion about who we are and where we come from and how those identities impact our perceptions of our place in the world. The discussion will end with Anika selling copies of her book.
