The Killing State Library Exhibit

The Killing State Library Exhibit

From January 27th through February 28th, the library hosts The Killing State: Extra-judicial Police Killings and Capital Punishment, a poster exhibit and reading corner curated by Nancy A. Heitzeg, Professor of Sociology and Endowed Chair in the Sciences. In preparation for Sister Helen Prejean’s Core Convocation on Feb. 27th, the exhibit invites visitors to engage with artwork and books that examine the racial injustice of state sanctioned killing, from police shootings to the death penalty.

Other events that are part of this series, including Sister Helen Prejean’s Core Convocation, are listed at University Events.
