Come to this cozy and grounding creative writing and artistry affirming event with author Junauda Petrus. In this workshop we will use writing, discussion and personal reflection to spend time with the question: How do our imaginations, self-love, and our connections with the divine liberate us?
This slumber party themed event is inspired by the works of Audre Lorde, Octavia Butler and Junauda's book, The Stars and The Blackness Between Them, the 2023 One Read for Racial Justice selection.
Optional items to bring/wear for your ultimate cozy experience: Pajamas, slippers, blankets, pillows, stuffed animals you love, favorite crystals or rocks, oracle + tarot decks, favorite playlists or any sacred item that makes you feel safe, comfortable and inspired.
ASL Interpretation and snacks provided.
